Bring Back Richard Farleigh

The UK's favourite Dragon

Newsflash

You may be wondering why the 'polite Australian one' is no longer part of the Dragons' Den panel. So are we. We have started a petition to bring back Richard Farleigh. Lets make those silly people at the BBC change their minds and let Richard return to the panel.

Our website recently appeared on the Wright Stuff on Channel 5. Turns out Richard had seen our site already. Perhaps the person who signed the petition as Richard Farleigh was indeed Richard Farleigh! Richard, if you are reading this get in touch to say hi. I also have a couple of business ideas to pass on to you from people who visited the site. One sounds too good to be true (although as usual the guy is convinced he has something big) and the other sounds very interesting indeed!

I recently discovered that the BBC had dropped Richard Farleigh from the Dragons' Den. I found this strange as most people I asked put Richard Farleigh as their favourite Dragon.

Nobody seems to know the real reason why he was dropped. From what I have read, Richard seemed keen to continue with the show. He even moved back to London to keep up with the show's commitments. Some of the papers have suggested Richard was dropped so that a Dragon from an ethnic minority could be added to the panel. Others have suggested that Richard was just too nice! Perhaps he wasn't nasty enough for TV. I thought this is exactly what made him a nice contrast to the other Dragons. He was always polite and gave great advice even if he wasn't going to invest. Often when you think of top businessmen, you think of a ruthless person with a huge ego. Richard seems to have made his money by using his intelligence and somehow managed to remain a decent chap.

Richard didn't deserve to be dropped. Bring him back!

Nice site
Not many people signing the petition yet though. The bringbackbeckham website got thousands of entries.

Good luck!

Only a few more votes to go!
I just checked out the bringbackbeckham page. They had 14597 people sign their petition. Our petition is getting there - only another 14543 to go!

Anyone got any ideas how to get the word out about this petition?????

Nice Video Simon
I hate to be pedantic, but Richard Farleigh is not an entrepreneur - the people pitching in Dragon's Den are the entrepreneurs. He is a businessman.

Thanks John
Thanks for pointing that out. I corrected it to keep you happy. If you fancy doing some more editing then feel free. English was never my favourite subject at school. I'm more of a Maths & Physics guy.

Dear John
Dear John,
Now it's we are who are being padantic! The show's title descibes the den of a number of "Dragons", so the apostrophy show strictly come after the 's' on "Dragons". Hence, "Dragons' Den".....
Moving on, WE LOVE RICHARD FARLEIGH, HE'S SO RUCHY (that's the new word we have made up to describe him). They should bring him back immediately. Can't stand the new one - he's a bit of a pratt, too slimy. But Deborah Meadon is making up for our loss to some extent this series - she's so cool!

Hidden agenda?
I'm a bit slow but it's only just occured to me that perhaps there's something in Richard's background (or about to come to the foreground?) that worries the BBC?

Dunno, just throwing it in there.
